<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">The IL3 micro-credential is a university-level programme of <strong>150 hours (6 ECTS)</strong> aimed at professionals looking to take their careers in the logistics sector to the next level. The programme tackles the major challenges redefining the way we produce, store and distribute, including:</p>

<h2 class="text-text-100 mt-3 -mb-1 text-[1.125rem] font-bold">Marina Anento&#8217;s session: next-generation robotics applied to production, warehousing and distribution</h2>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">In her session, Marina offered the students a hands-on perspective on how the technologies underpinning modern intralogistics are evolving. Among the topics covered, one took centre stage: <strong>next-generation robots applied to production, warehousing and distribution processes</strong>.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">The class walked through the technologies that are reshaping the warehouse as we knew it, from collaborative robotic solutions to automated systems capable of optimising entire workflows. Always with a practical approach, drawing on the experience LYL has built up over the years.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">The goal: for students to leave the classroom with a clear picture of where the sector is heading and, above all, of <strong>how these technologies are being implemented today</strong> in real-world companies.</p>
<h2 class="text-text-100 mt-3 -mb-1 text-[1.125rem] font-bold">Sharing knowledge, a way to build the sector</h2>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">For LYL, taking part in initiatives like this is about more than just academic presence. It is a way to actively contribute to <strong>training the professionals who will lead the logistics of the coming years</strong> and to build bridges between academia and industry.</p>

<p>The movement of loads is carried out with an autonomous mobile robot (AMR). These robots can transport loads of up to 2,000 kg automatically horizontally and in height. Its dimensions allow the width of the aisle to be minimized and, in this way, optimize warehouse space and increase its capacity. These robots use V-SLAM, SLAM (2D and 3D) and QR navigation technologies and incorporate safety sensors to avoid obstacles.</p>
<h3><strong>Code reading technology</strong></h3>
<p>The identification technology that SAMY incorporates automatically scans and identifies barcodes and 2D (QR, Datamatrix&#8230;). Reading is guaranteed by high-resolution cameras and the “Deep Learning” algorithm to recognize low-quality codes.</p>
<h3><strong>Volume and weight measurement technology</strong></h3>
<p>SAMY integrates an Apache Portal system designed for measuring the volume and certified weight of large objects and loads, with regular and irregular shapes. The measurement is fast, accurate and reliable. A high-value advantage is the traceability of the measurement, with issuance of certificates and photographic capture of the load, which eliminates possible discrepancies with the client. This real-time information can be incorporated directly into the client&#8217;s WMS/ERP system.</p>

<p>Among many other answers to the journalist&#8217;s questions, Mikel describes the immediate future of technology applied to the creation of intelligent logistics and intralogistics infrastructures within the supply chain: &#8220;The development of robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things (IoT) and Blockchain, among other technologies, is today a reality that will be fully developed in the near future, when we will be able to speak of mature and widely implemented technologies.</p>
<p>In this sense, <strong>the pandemic has been a definitive trigger for sectors and industries to face, from one day to the next</strong>, a different reality to which they had to respond, and to do so in a different way. As a result, we have seen implementation rates that can be described as exponential.</p>
<p><strong>The supply chain is transforming at a rapid pace</strong> in response to this new post-covid normal. With the automation and robotization of smart warehouses, these technologies will make the journey from factory to store or home much less dependent on human intervention, which means the supply chain is set to become faster, more efficient and more productive.</p>
<p><strong>Success for many operators will depend on their ability to apply, adapt and advance automation, robotization and artificial intelligence.</strong> They will be key aspects in the future strategy of industrial and commercial companies, in general, and of services related to transport, logistics and intralogistics, in particular.&#8221;</p>
