Apache Flying Forklift 2.0

Volume and weight measurement on the move

Measure, weigh and photograph without stopping the forklift

The Apache Flying Forklift 2.0 is a dynamic system capable of measuring the volume and weight of goods and capturing images, all without stopping operations, as it works while the forklift passes through the portal. To do this, it uses cameras and LiDAR sensors that detect the moving load while simultaneously identifying the forklift.

Once the forklift is recognised, it is excluded from the measurement (blurred out), allowing the relevant freight data to be captured with precision. Load identification takes place at the entry point, beneath the scanners, via barcode, transponder or direct integration with the material flow control system.

All collected information — dimensions (length, width and height), weight and images — is automatically transferred to the customer’s database through defined interfaces, enabling fast, delay-free master data capture thanks to on-the-move measurement.

In addition, the system can be calibrated in accordance with MID:009 regulations and validated as part of the manufacturer’s initial verification process. Its ability to detect under-declared freight also contributes to a rapid return on investment.

SPECIFICATIONS

The APACHE Flying Forklift 2.0 system consists of a portal through which the forklift passes. While it travels through the scanning zone:

A measurement area is projected using sensors
Dimensions, weight and photos are captured in real time
There is no need to stop logistics operations
